AQUA Canvas - The first canvas of its kind combines innovative technology with a proven system.
MH&P Das Keilrahmen Werk from Berlin developed a new mixed medium especially for watercolour painting. The structure looks similar to paper. The material is as stable as a conventional canvas and can therefore be mounted on a classic stretcher frame.
Simply paint watercolour directly onto the AQUA canvas and hang it up without framing!
The AQUA Stretcher won 3rd place at the International Creative Impulse Award at the Creativeworld 2018 trade fair.
The sturdy stretcher bars are made of real wood from European forests. These come from sustainable forestry and are FSC® certified.
The carefully processed bars are optimally covered on machines from MH+P Technology. After drying out, the AQUA canvas comes back into shape without waves or creases. If necessary, it can even be stretched again after complete drying by wedging.
With AQUA Canvas, particularly large formats are also possible in watercolour painting. With a maximum bar length of 200 cm, even extensive landscape paintings are possible.
With its soft, harmonious surface structure, the AQUA stretcher frame is excellently suited for all watercolour techniques - for example, for watercolour brushes, pens, brush pens and airbrushes. In addition, the canvas can be combined very well with other techniques.
AQUA is also recommended for acrylic, gouache and tempera techniques. The AQUA canvas is also eraser-proof under certain conditions.
